Our story
Consystence was born from Garry's 20+ years building traditional SCADA and industrial control systems — from longwall mining through to port operations.
The observation was simple: industrial automation systems haven't fundamentally changed in decades, while the capabilities of AI have exploded. After years of watching operators struggle with rigid interfaces and complex troubleshooting procedures, the question became: "What would industrial IoT look like if we built it from scratch today?"
The answer is Consystence: dynamic interfaces that adapt to plant state, AI-powered diagnostics that understand your documentation, and edge-to-cloud architecture designed for the realities of remote industrial operations.

Founder & CTO
Dual engineering degrees (Software Engineering and Electrical Engineering, both Honours). 20+ years in industrial automation — longwall mining through to port operations. Has worked with Anglo American, Glencore, and BHP through Deftec. Built production PLC libraries covering the complete coal value chain (112 UDTs, 57 AOIs).
Backed by Deftec's 60-person engineering team — electrical engineers, automation engineers, and project managers who commission and maintain industrial systems at Australia's largest mining operations. This team deploys Consystence at customer sites.
Strategic Partnership

Consystence is developed in partnership with Deftec, a 60-person industrial automation company specialising in engineering, commissioning, and ongoing site work at Australia's largest mining operations.
Deftec provides an 18-month development runway, direct site access through existing contracts, and the deployment capability to get Consystence into production environments.
Critically, Deftec's production IP — 112 UDTs and 57 AOIs covering the complete coal value chain — translates directly into the Consystence device type library, giving the platform real operational knowledge from day one.
